EM Magazine n°27 (NL)
Auteur: EM-Vereniging België
Dear readers
Dear EM friends
Dear members of our association,
We received a beautiful Indian summer that spoilt us with sunny
days and we gratefully enjoyed them. Yet also with concern about
these rather unusual temperatures alerting us to the changing
climate. In this magazine we read an opinion piece written by Jan
Feersma - technical director of Agriton Netherlands/UK - on this
topic. According to him, the tide can still be turned: “Nature’s
resilience is very great provided proper management is in place.”
He refers to wonderful examples in Prof. Higa’s book.
In the previous magazine, we took you into the world of
microorganisms. The fact that these tiny creatures are
indispensable has already been explained repeatedly. This time we
put a magnifying glass on our immediate living environment and
take a look at what we can do to maintain micro-level balance and
harmony in our kitchen, bedroom, the smallest room ...
On our journey through 25 years of EM in Europe, this time we end
up in Hungary and meet Dr. Murányi who in his country conducted
an experiment to see if EM Technology could help establish plant
life on toxic lead mine waste. The results were remarkable and show once
again that even heavily contaminated soils can indeed be purified with EM.
That the soil benefits with EM also proves the result of the recently planted
forest in Roeselare, the aerial photos clearly show the difference between
the green EM-treated plot versus the arid piece where no EM was used. The
dry hot summer was the same for both plots....
For animal lovers we also have a lot of reading material, an article from
Sweden about dogs and sheep; from our own soil there is interesting
information for horse lovers as well as a fascinating article about sheep
used as nature managers in the Kempen.
We also bring you a report on a wine estate we will visit next spring.
We wish you much reading pleasure.
With warm EM greetings,
